Applying for Electric Service

Welcome to West Plains Electric Cooperative!

To set up an account we ask you to stop in our office and sign an application. We will need you to provide the following information:

  1. Your name, address, phone number, social security number
  2. A positive utility credit reference or a deposit
  3. Who the account is being transferred from
  4. Meter number and meter reading (if meter is self-read)
  5. Effective date of transfer

If you are a new member of the cooperative, you will receive a new member packet in the mail. This will contain the member handbook, a current rate schedule, and a membership certificate. You will also receive a complimentary subscription to the ND Living Magazine. Watch the center pages for local news from your cooperative.

ATTENTION LANDLORDS:

If you are a landlord, we need to know who you are. If electric service is in your tenant's name and your tenant moves out, we need to be able to contact you. If we can't contact you, be aware that the service may be disconnected.
