Bill Payment

West Plains Electric sends out bills in two cycles each month. Each bill is due 10 days after it is mailed. A late payment charge of 1.5% will be assessed on balances not paid by date indicated on bottom portion of the bill statement.

We have a combination of meters. Some are self-read, some are read by an automated meter reading device, and some commercial accounts are read by a meter reader. If you are required to read your meter, it should be read the day your statement is received. You will then be billed for the same number of days each month. There is a space on the return stub of your bill to record the meter reading.

Please remember farm and residential accounts are billed one month after your electric usage. Your usage from January 1 to February 1 is billed March 1.

You can pay your West Plains Electric Cooperative bill in the following ways:

  1. Pay by Bank. West Plains Electric offers the convenience of automatic payment of your monthly electric bills through a Pay by Bank program.

  2. Postal Service. Your bill is mailed in a two-way envelope, which provides you will a return envelope to stamp and drop in the mail. Please do not send cash in the mail.
