If you have a power outage or require emergency assistance after
working hours, call our office number. Our after hours answering
service will assist you.
One-Call Locating Service: Call Before You
Dig!
Any time you plan to excavate you must call the North Dakota One-Call
number at 1-800-795-0555 at least 48 hours before you dig! Please
have the specific location of the dig site, including township,
range, section and quarter section handy when you place your call.
One-Call eliminates the need to call each underground utility when
you plan to dig. Remember you can be held liable for damage to underground
equipment is you don't "Call Before You Dig"!
Outage Tips: What to do if your lights go
out
West Plains Electric Cooperative works hard to keep your electric
service reliable. However, outages from storms, accidents and equipment
failure can occur. If your lights go out please do the following:
- Check your breakers or fuses (and your yard pole disconnect
switch where applicable) to determine if something has tripped.
- Check with your neighbors to see if they have power.
- Call West Plains Electric Cooperative at 483-5111 or 1-800-483-6057.
A 24-hr answering service will take your call after normal business
hours.
- Our office will need your name and location number that appears
on your monthly electric bill.
PLEASE -- Stay away from downed power lines!
