Although our Prairie Winds energy program is the first of its kind for West Plains Electric, it joins many other successful wind programs throughout the country. These programs are already transforming even the softest breezes into powerful electricity.

By investing in another clean source of power, we are investing in our future. But perhaps most important, by taking a leadership role in supporting renewable energy, we are contributing to a healtheir environment for this generation ... and the next.

How to Participate
You, too, can participate by becoming a wind energy pioneer! In order to justify new wind turbines, we need to know which of our consumers are serious about buying wind energy. We are asking our consumers to make a one-year commitment to purchase wind energy in 100 kilowatt-hour blocks.
